Terms and conditions of the Sakura Academy and Educational Services

Booking

After submitting your Training Registration Form, the booking becomes a binding agreement. If you have not heard from us within seven days of your booking, please contact us by e-mailing to SakuraAcademy@sakura.eu.

Cancellation by participants

All cancellations must be made in writing three weeks prior to the start of the course. If a booking is cancelled after this time, or if the participant fails to attend the course, administration/cancellation costs need to be paid:

  • Cancellation 3 weeks prior to the start of the training course 10% of the total invoice, with a minimum of € 300,- excluding VAT.
  • Cancellation 2 weeks prior to the start of the training course 25% of the total invoice
  • Cancellation 1 week prior to the start of the training course 50% of the total invoice
  • Cancellation 1 day prior to the start or no show 100% of the total invoice

Changing participant details

There will be no charge if a substitute person wishes to replace the original participant. Please inform the Sakura Academy of any change to the original booking.

Cancellation or alteration of the courses by the Sakura Academy

The Sakura Academy reserves the right to cancel a course without liability:

  • due to unforeseen circumstances
  • if required minimum number of participants is not reached

Cancellations or alterations will always be communicated in writing.

If cancellation occurs, participants will be offered an alternative date. We cannot be held responsible for any transport, accommodation or other costs incurred by participants. The Sakura Academy will inform the participants at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date of the training course, confirming that the training will take place or that the training will be cancelled.

In case a full training course contains multiple instruments, the Sakura Academy reserves the right to give priority to participants who enrol for the complete course. If a course is fully booked and there are more participants of the same Distributor or Regional Business Units, the Sakura Academy reserves the right to allow only one participant of a Distributor or Regional Business Unit per training.

Admission policy

The courses provided by the Sakura Academy are only accessible to colleagues from Regional Business Units or employees of Distributors of Sakura Finetek Europe B.V. unless a training is specifically designed for end users/customers.

Visa application

If a visa is required to enter The Netherlands, the Sakura Academy will write a Business Letter of Invitation for the participant, to take to the embassy/consulate-general. The trainee is responsible to make a timely request for a Letter of Invitation. Furthermore, the Sakura Academy only provides these letters to the participants of a training course.

Spouses or partners, who wish to accompany the participant, are advised to apply for a tourist visa.

Data protection

The personal information provided by the participant will be kept in a secure database by the Sakura Academy.

Training certification

After successfully completing the training course, the trainees will receive a personalised Sakura Academy certificate from the trainer. This hardcopy certificate has an unique traceable code in the Sakura Academy training database.

Together with the signature(s) of the trainer(s) this makes the certificate one of a kind and recognisable in our industry and for customers.

Expenses

Besides the training package that is included in the Educational Service, the costs for the transport to The Netherlands, the hotel and the taxi to Schiphol Airport are expenses to be paid for by the trainees.

The taxis to and from the hotel and the Sakura Finetek Europe office in Alphen aan den Rijn are included in the training price of the Educational Service. The lunches and scheduled dinners (maximum of two dinners) during the training course are also included in the Education Service package.
